Meet the waifus from Genshin Impact
Beidou
Beidou is the thunderous sea captain who punches storms in the face and somehow makes it look casual. She’s loud, fearless, fiercely loyal, and will steal your thunder — literally — while grinning like she just told the best joke. Loves a good brawl and a stronger drink, but she’s also ridiculously sentimental about old maps and a tiny broken trinket she refuses to throw away (don’t ask why). Also rumor has it she once gave a pirate a pep talk and then politely lectured him on seamanship, so yes, complex energy.
Lisa
Lisa is the cozy, book-hoarding librarian with an Electro spark and the kind of brain that can bench-press ancient tomes. She’s flirtatiously lazy one minute and terrifyingly sharp the next — like, she’ll make you tea and then dismantle your argument with one sigh. Obsessed with knowledge, naps, cozy lighting, and occasionally using obscure arcane puns that make you groan and then actually learn something. There’s a mysterious aura about her; she says she “teaches responsibly” but also definitely has a spell for when you forget where you left your keys.
Noelle
Noelle is the adorably earnest maid who moonlights as an unstoppable Geo knight (and yes, she polishes her armor every other afternoon). She’s literally built from steady duty, kindness, and an unreasonable belief that everyone benefits from a good cleaning — also slightly convinced that rocks have feelings, which is sweet and maybe a little dramatic. Brave and dependable to a fault, she’ll dust away your problems and then apologize for the inconvenience of heroism. Occasionally clumsy, always hopeful, and possibly owns more dusters than is normal for a knight.
Jean
Jean is the steady, tireless Grand Master who runs an entire city like it’s a choreographed marching band — and she’s the drum major with a clipboard. Exceedingly responsible, serious, and a little exhausted, she holds people together with calm competence and the kind of moral backbone that makes kids want to be better. There’s a soft undercurrent of loneliness and ridiculous devotion to duty (also she might enjoy terrible music in private, don’t tell). She’s the ultimate “I’ll handle it” presence but also secretly craves a day off that may or may not involve pastries.
Xiangling
Xiangling is the unstoppable culinary whirlwind with a spatula and a dream to flame-sear the world, and I love her so much. She’s bright, chaotic, endlessly creative — will throw in chili flakes and dragon-shaped dumplings and somehow it’s perfect — and has a literal tiny fire panda companion (Guoba!) that judges seasoning. Always experimenting, fiercely enthusiastic, and prone to shouting the names of ingredients mid-combat like a passionate chef-God. Also she may forget whether she’s fighting monsters or testing a new recipe, which is peak Xiangling energy.
Ningguang
Ningguang is elegance personified, a calculating magnate who arranges fortunes like chess pieces while wearing a dress that probably holds secrets. She’s refined, distant, clever, and will assess you in one polished look — and then offer you a business proposal that somehow benefits her and also strangely helps you. Obsessed with order and beauty but she keeps a tiny, slightly silly memento from her youth tucked away (very surprising). She’s regal and ruthless-ish, but not without a soft, meticulously guarded center.
Keqing
Keqing is the razor-sharp, lightning-fast skeptic who refuses to rely on gods and prefers doing things herself — with style and spreadsheets. She’s efficient, slightly prickly, super ambitious, and will critique your plan with surgical accuracy before proving it unnecessary by outworking you. Deep down she’s secretly fond of small messy things (don’t tell the Liyue Bureau) and has a weird habit of rearranging street signs for fun. Practical but passionate — a contradiction wrapped in a purple lightning bolt.
Xinyan
Xinyan is the unapologetic rock ‘n’ roll pyrotechnician who builds amps out of scrap and wants everyone to dance while she melts speakers. Loud, passionate, and fiercely proud of her roots, she’s equal parts fiery performer and soft-hearted hometown hero. She claims she hates glitter but her outfit screams otherwise (I call that fashion rebellion), and she’ll smash musical norms like they’re old guitars. Unpretentious, energetic, and likely to start a bonfire singalong at a perfectly inconvenient moment.
Amber
Amber is the eternally optimistic Outrider with a bow, a bunny mascot, and a cheerfulness that borders on heroic. She’s perky, reliable, and alarmingly good at getting lost while still being somehow on top of her duties (map skills are flexible, enthusiasm is not). Loves gliders, foxes, and saying “Let’s go!” with the kind of conviction that makes you actually want to go. Slightly clumsy, very earnest, and absolutely living for the chance to help — also possibly hoards too many trail snacks.
Fischl
Fischl is delightfully extra — the gothic, poetic investigator who communicates like a fantasy novel and brings a raven named Oz to every awkward social situation. She’s theatrically mysterious, brilliant in combat, and wildly imaginative; part detective, part roleplayer, 100% adorable in that over-the-top way. Sometimes she slips into normal speech and it’s weirdly charming, like finding a classical score in a punk rock house. Loves exotic titles, dramatic entrances, and making sure Oz has his dramatic monologues too.
Qiqi
Qiqi is the tiny, stoic zombie-apothecary who shuffles around with a pocket full of herbs and a surprisingly reliable memory for chores. She’s calm, deadpan, and deeply earnest about doing what’s right — though she’ll also forget why she walked into a room five seconds after announcing her intent, which is very Qiqi. Prone to handing out medicinal stickers and weirdly specific herbal advice, she’s both eerie and adorable at the same time. Gentle, mysterious, and somehow absolutely practical about resurrection logistics (don’t ask, she’ll give you a pamphlet).
