Meet the characters from BanG Dream! It’s MyGO!!!!!

Takamatsu Tomori

Takamatsu Tomori is the kind of band leader who talks a mile a minute and somehow gets everyone on the same page. She’s endlessly practical — setlists, schedules, snacks for late rehearsals — but also melts at the sight of a cute character keychain (which she definitely does not collect… except maybe three). Onstage she’s all focus and little fierce smiles, but offstage she’s the person who will reorganize your bag and forget to return your text for three days. She’s quietly obsessive about the tiny details that make a gig feel pro-level, and somehow her chaos is actually a very organized chaos. Also rumor has it she bakes a mean batch of cookies, though I might be imagining that, not that it matters.

Chihaya Anon

Chihaya Anon is that dreamy guitarist who looks like they’re composing in their head even when they’re arguing about pizza toppings. They’re precise with chords and weirdly fond of ambient noise — leaves, footsteps, whatever — and will defend a particularly pretty chord progression like it’s their child. Very soft-spoken in person but their riffs cut clean, and sometimes I swear they’re seven different shades of blue emotionally. Terrible with names (don’t be offended if they call you ‘friend’ forever) but will remember the exact date you adopted your cat — maybe because they wrote it on a sticker they keep in their wallet.

Kaname Rāna

Kaname Rāna is the glitter-confetti half of the band — equal parts showman and marshmallow, and yes they will inexplicably wear a cape to practice. Entirely theatrical, loves to ham it up for the crowd but also gives the most unexpectedly sincere pep talks backstage (sometimes in the form of haikus — seriously). Flirty in a way that’s completely harmless and often accidentally reveals the band schedule, which everyone pretends to be annoyed about but low-key loves. She can be a walking contradiction: a drama queen who always carries bandaids and actually hates drama when it’s real, and I’ve seen them cry over a bug once, not kidding. Also collects old concert tickets like treasured fossils, which sounds pretentious but she makes it adorable.

Nagasaki Soyo

Nagasaki Soyo is like the calm center of a very hyper snow globe — bassist by trade, philosopher by accident. Speaks slowly, chooses words like they’re picking a favorite tea, but then will burst into this absurdly loud laugh that makes everyone jump. Never misses a downbeat but loses her phone every other week (always found in the fridge? don’t ask), which is somehow consistent with her being both reliable and delightfully scatterbrained. She has this gentle way of explaining music theory that makes you feel smarter and slightly guilty for not practicing more.

Shiina Taki

Shiina Taki is the drummer who times both cymbal crashes and emotional beats with surgical precision, and she’ll clap in your face if you’re out of rhythm (lovingly, mostly). Ruthlessly competitive in soundchecks but writes lullabies at 2 a.m. and labels them in a notebook with stickers, which is a mood I can’t handle. She likes puns, which makes her sound cheesier than she’d admit, and has a terrifyingly tiny collection of rubber ducks — don’t tell her it’s weird. Onstage she’s ferocious and a little wild-eyed, offstage she’s the one who’ll actually help you tune your heart as much as your instrument. Also claims she hates rom-coms but has a list of favorites and cries dramatically at the end credits every time, so, a walking contradiction.
