About “The Saint’s Magic Power is Omnipotent” in a few words:

“The Saint’s Magic Power Is Omnipotent” is an enthralling tale of Sei Takanashi, a modern-day office worker summoned to the mystical land of Salutania. Instead of lamenting her fate, she finds solace in studying the magical properties of herbs and potions. Her tranquil life is soon intertwined with the formidable knights of this realm, especially the commander of the Third Order. Amidst her newfound purpose, her identity as a Saint becomes increasingly pivotal in the unfolding narrative.

Meet the characters from The Saint’s Magic Power Is Omnipotent

Sei Takanashi

Sei is this adorably awkward, quietly fierce heroine who somehow turns being a soft-spoken office worker into full-on world-changing alchemy — she’s equal parts herbalist grandma and accidental goddess, honestly. She’s obsessively tidy about her potions but will absolutely leave a trail of sticky notes everywhere (like, please pick them up, Sei), and she loves tea to a suspicious degree, maybe more than is healthy. People think she’s gentle and passive but she’s kind of terrifyingly competent when you mess with her plants or her friends, and also has a weird habit of hoarding band-aids for reasons I still don’t fully understand. Sometimes she’s resigned and sheepish, and other times she’ll surprise you with the most savage stare; it’s the best combo.

Albert Hawke

Albert is the princely golden boy who somehow manages to be both perfect knight-material and embarrassingly soft about feelings — like, he can lead an army and also cry over a slightly burnt pancake, no shame. He’s polite to a fault (seriously, he apologizes to chairs sometimes) and utterly devoted once he decides someone’s worth it, which makes him heroic but also dangerously sentimental. There’s a quiet confidence there, the kind that makes you want to follow him into a cave or into an awkward family dinner, and he’s surprisingly bad at hiding tiny jealousies; adorable, honestly. He collects antique coins or maybe porcelain frogs? I can’t remember but it makes him weirdly endearing.

Johan Valdec

Johan is the old-school, buttoned-up commander type who looks like he eats justice for breakfast and then writes a very precise report about it, and yes, he probably does both. He’s stern and honorable and will lecture you about protocol for half an hour but then quietly pay for a kid’s bread with that same deadpan face — secret softie energy. He has this habit of humming old war songs when he’s thinking, which is both creepy and kind of poetic, and he insists on proper introductions even when nobody’s listening. Sometimes he’s impossibly rigid and other times shockingly tender; he’s full of contradictions and I live for it.

Yuri Dreves

Yuri is the absolute flamboyant merchant/rogue (ish) who always knows a rumor before it’s even a rumor and will bargain you down while complimenting your shoes, plus he probably has seven aliases. He’s sharp-tongued and utterly charming, like a fox with a monocle, and you never really know if he’s being sincere or scheming — but it’s usually both. He has this weird kink for mismatched socks and says it’s “for good luck,” which might be true or might be clever lying, I can’t tell. Generous in dramatic bursts, stingy in the small things, and always ready with a backhanded compliment, he’s deliciously unreliable.

Jude

Jude is the earnest pal who does the heavy lifting emotionally and physically and never brags about either, the kind of friend who makes you tea at weird hours and will challenge you to a pastry-eating contest on a Tuesday. He’s loyal to the bone, a little stubborn, and has this goofy grin that pops up when he’s plotting something silly or noble — both, usually. He’s inexplicably obsessed with making the perfect tart (don’t ask, it’s a saga), and sometimes gets way too philosophical about forks, which is a mood. He’s simple in the best way but also surprises you with these deep, inconveniently wise lines when you least expect them.

Erhart Hawke

Erhart is the rugged, grumpy veteran who hides a secret romcom heart under layers of sarcasm and armor; he will grumble about rising at dawn and then spend half an hour arranging wildflowers, like, what. He’s fiercely protective to the point of terribleness if you cross his people, but he’s also the guy who’ll patch a kid’s knee and make a terrible joke to lighten the mood. He reads poetry he swears he hates and cries — once — but then tells everyone he didn’t, so classic Erhart. A strict mentor with a marshmallow center and a suspiciously neat embroidery collection, honestly impossible to predict sometimes.

Elizabeth Ashley

Elizabeth is the polished, somewhat icy noblewoman/mage type who gives off “I have a plan” vibes and then actually does, which is both admirable and kind of terrifying. She’s precise, fashionable, and judgmental in that spicy way that makes scenes more fun, and she’s often the voice of cold logic in storms of chaos. Underneath she’s insecure in tiny, human ways — like she’s convinced people notice the one pimple she once had at a ball — and that contradiction makes her secretly sympathetic. She taps her spoon on her teacup when thinking, which is obnoxious but oddly rhythmic, and she is absolutely not above smirking when proven right.

Aira Misono

Aira is this bubbly, scatterbrained support character who bursts into a room like a confetti cannon and somehow makes everything brighter, even if she loses her keys twice an hour. She’s endlessly optimistic, extremely curious, and has a habit of talking to plants like they’re old friends (they probably are), plus she can brew a mean herbal drink that will either heal you or slightly tingle your tongue — roll the dice. She forgets details and remembers others with laser focus, so she’s delightful and occasionally infuriating; like she can recite an obscure legend but can’t remember your birthday, classic. There’s a surprising depth to her sunny exterior though, and when she gets serious it’s genuinely moving — also she might have a ridiculous collection of ribbons, maybe not, who knows.
