Solemn and determined, Peru pursues atonement while confronting the perilous power of the artifacts he once helped create.

Sonahlue’s reserve makes her a compelling counterpart to his open burden of guilt.

Physically imposing and steadfast, he brings a protective presence to the group’s travels. His dependable combat strength offers a counterbalance to the guilt and emotional strain weighing on Peru, while his fierce loyalty makes him more than a formidable fighter. Moku’s actions show a practical commitment to standing by his companions through peril.
Zent
Zent is a named character in The Vermilion Mask, a story shaped by perilous masks, responsibility, and conflict. The character’s personal history and motives remain understated, leaving their place in the wider events less clearly defined than Peru’s or Sonahlue’s. That limited detail gives Zent an air of ambiguity without fixing a particular allegiance or backstory. In a world where appearances can conceal danger, the character’s presence leaves room for interpretation.
