Meet the characters from RWBY

Ruby Rose

Ruby is this adorable whirlwind of optimism who somehow swings a giant scythe like it’s a feather and makes it look intentional. She’s the cheerleader-leader type — always dragging people into adventures, half the time because she found a shiny idea and can’t stop grinning about it. Also, tiny detail — silver eyes thing? Intense. She’s awkward and earnest, cries at sad sandwiches and then will punch a Grimm into next week, which is somehow the whole point.

Weiss Schnee

Weiss is the frosty heiress who can summon literal ice and sarcasm with equal finesse; elegant, precise, and terrifyingly competent. She’s stuck between “cold aristocrat” and “terrible at small talk who secretly loves puns” (no, really, she does — she denies it, loudly). There’s a steel-in-the-spine discipline to her, but also this weirdly charming mess of trying to be good to people while being raised by an employer was a snow globe of trauma? — anyway, complex. She polishes swords and reputations, probably alphabetizes her dust motes.

Yang Xiao Long

Yang is basically a walking sunbeam wearing gauntlets and knocking anyone who annoys her into next week; loud, warm, and impossible to ignore. She eats danger for breakfast and jokes for dinner, and then cries into a milkshake when things get too real (also she has a thing for making her hair louder). She’s fiercely protective — like, territorial with a hug and then a punch — and very, very loyal, even when that loyalty makes her melt. Also, yes her arm situation is a Thing, but she’s more about “let’s go” than “let’s cry,” until she doesn’t and then she does, loudly.

Blake Belladonna

Blake is the quiet one who reads in corners and then suddenly appears behind you with a katana and a smirk — stealthy, thoughtful, full of layered guilt and secret bad book choices. She’s a Faunus with a soft spot for justice and an even softer spot for cats (this is not a metaphor, she literally likes cats). Socially awkward but deeply principled, she vacillates between “run away” and “stand up and fight,” sometimes in the same sentence. Also loves poetry? Probably. Also possibly has 17 secret snack stashes.

Jaune Arc

Jaune starts off as the lovable goof who absolutely should not have been allowed near armor, and somehow grows into an earnest, determined leader who still trips over his sword every Sunday. He’s awkward, insecure, reads strategy manuals like bedtime stories, and makes terrible puns that somehow rally the team anyway. There’s a big-heartedness that makes people trust him — he’s the kind of person who apologizes to inanimate objects. He collects bookmarks and bad advice, and is simultaneously heroic and hilariously human.

Nora Valkyrie

Nora is pure, unfiltered joy with a hammer the size of her personality and a laugh that breaks physics. Hyperactive, absurdly strong, waffles-obsessed (seriously, waffles are a religion), she’s also sneakily brave in the gooey center of all the madness. She’ll scream “THUNDER” and then apologize to a frog; energy source unknown but infinite. Loves explosions, hates spinach, cries if you compliment her freckles — or was it if you insulted her freckles? Either way, chaotic good.

Lie Ren

Ren is the calm pond that refuses to ripple unless you poke it with a giant emotional stick — quiet, centered, and annoyingly steady. He meditates, keeps his feelings in jars labeled “for emergencies,” and can execute a perfect combo while being a calming influence in a storm (literal and metaphorical). There’s a sadness tucked behind his eyes but also a tender goofy side — like, he might own a plant nursery and also meme in a very understated way. Thoughtful, loyal, and infuriatingly composed when you need him to be anything but.

Professor Ozpin

Ozpin is the archetypal enigmatic headmaster who casually drops centuries of secrets like a man with a library in his pocket and caffeine in his soul. He has this unfathomable calm and a suspiciously tidy hat collection, plus the kind of smile that means he knows more than he’s telling you (which is basically all of the time). Caring and exasperating in equal measure, he shepherds students while juggling moral puzzles that would give most people hives. Also, he drinks tea like it’s a political maneuver and might be secretly thrilled by puns, but would never admit it.
