Meet the characters from Fire Force
Arthur Boyle
Okay, Arthur is the delightful goof who thinks he’s a knight straight out of a bad chivalry pamphlet and honestly I love him for it. He brandishes his plasma sword like it’s Excalibur (and sometimes he really acts like it is), super proud and adorably stubborn — but also weirdly perceptive when it counts. He’s loud, dramatic, and will stare down a monster with the most sincere face ever, then forget where he left his helmet five minutes later. Also sometimes he’s surprisingly soft and acts like a teddy bear? No, a VERY armored teddy bear.
Shinra Kusakabe
Shinra is the chaotic-good, devil-footed kid who can turn a crisis into a motivational speech and a punchline in one breath. He’s all about heroism, has that ridiculous smile that makes people trust him (and also wonder if he’s plotting), and his combustion feet are as flashy as his determination. Trauma-core backstory layered under a relentless “I will protect everyone” vibe — so sincere it’s almost embarrassing sometimes, but in the best way. Oh and he’s inexplicably obsessed with being on time? Or maybe he’s terrible with clocks.
Sho Kusakabe
Sho is the cold, quiet counterpoint to Shinra but with this weirdly precise intensity that chills you — like he’s always calculating three moves ahead and also humming to himself. He’s distant and scarred but has these flashes of vulnerability that make you go “wait, did I just feel sympathy?” He’s deadly in a fight, efficient, and has this soft spot for tiny odd things (I swear I once imagined him liking warm milk). He contradicts himself a lot — ruthless but weirdly tender, aloof yet fixated on family in a quiet way.
Haumea
Haumea is the gleefully mad scientist type and you can tell she’s having the time of her life doing horrible experiments, with a smile and a little bow. She’s bubbly and cruel in equal measure, obsessed with gadgets and augmentations and somehow makes biology sound like a party trick. She’ll rearrange your limbs and then apologize with tea, or at least that’s the vibe — charmingly monstrous. Also she keeps something cute on her desk? A tiny skull maybe, or a plush, I can’t decide.
Joker
Joker is slippery, theatrical, and absolutely loves pulling strings while everyone stares in confusion — the ultimate wildcard who laughs in low light. He’s unpredictable, enjoys chaos like it’s a board game, and has the unsettling habit of smiling like he knows a secret you don’t. He’s suave, a bit too stylish to be entirely trustworthy, and possibly has a soft spot for sarcastic banter (or for people who can match his sarcasm). Also he might feed pigeons at dawn? Or just watches them conspire.
Charon
Charon is the eerie, whisper-soft presence who could be your calm priest or a nightmare in a suit, depends on the day and his mood, honestly. He’s precise, meticulous, and unnervingly composed — like a cat that’s also a master tactician and maybe owns three ties with sinister patterns. He serves the bigger plans with that unsettlingly polite smile and sometimes shows a weirdly tender interest in small rituals, incense, or whatever people do before doom. Oh and he might collect odd coins or something quietly sinister like that.
Leonard Burns
Burns is all ex-military gravitas with the kind of stare that can both console you and make you regret existing, very mood-dependent man. He’s a leader, a terrifyingly capable fighter, and has this slow-burn intensity that says “don’t test me” but also “I will protect my people at all costs.” He’s pragmatic, tough as nails, and yet sometimes he’ll do a little unexpected, almost dad-level comforting thing and you’re like, wait, when did this get so soft? Also he probably keeps an impossibly nice jacket that he refuses to admit he loves.
Dragon
Dragon is the brooding, mythic figure who shows up and immediately makes everything more dramatic — huge presence, calm like a storm about to break. He’s taciturn, deadly, and carries an air of ancient grudges and history (or at least that’s how I picture him in dramatic lighting). He’s tough to read but you get the sense he’s loyal to a code only he remembers, and he might have a weird fondness for spicy food? Could be wrong, but I choose to believe it.
Shinmon Benimaru
Benimaru is the absolutely chaotic king of cool — naps, food, poker-faced leadership, and then WHAM, he wrecks the battlefield like it’s a hobby. He’s regal in a sweaty, beer-and-sword way, so commanding you kind of obey him even when he’s lounging on a rooftop. He’s loud, indulgent, loves to boss people around (with love? maybe fear), and somehow balances being a total hedonist with being absurdly reliable in a fight. Also he will steal your seat and your dessert and still save your life, hashtag multi-tasking.
The Evangelist
The Evangelist is the disturbing, angelic-voiced puppet-master who makes you feel like you’re in a hymn and a conspiracy at the same time. She radiates calm menace — soft words that rearrange whole societies — and has this uncanny, otherworldly charisma that makes people follow her like moths. She can be eerily maternal one second and apocalyptically cryptic the next, which is the worst combo ever. Also sometimes she feels like a child reading from a book of nightmares, and yes, that is as unsettling as it sounds.
