About “The Guardians of Justice” in a few words:

The Guardians of Justice is a Netflix Original live action/adult animated mixed media superhero TV show that follows the story of Marvelous Man, an alien superhero who maintained peace on Earth for 40 years after defeating Robo-Hitler and ending World War III. However, in 1987, chaos ensues as Marvelous Man dies and his former lieutenant, Knight Hawk, sets out to investigate his death with the help of the idealistic hero The Speed. Their goal is to prevent a nuclear war and World War IV from breaking out, thus continuing Marvelous Man’s legacy of protecting the planet.

Meet the characters from The Guardians of Justice

Marvelous Man

Oh man, Marvelous Man is the kind of leader who walks into a room and somehow the coffee makes itself. He’s charismatic and theatrical—big gestures, bigger one-liners—but also secretly checks the mission brief three times like a worried librarian (don’t tell him I said that). He genuinely believes in saving people and giving speeches afterward, and yes, he does wear capes that sometimes get stuck in doors. Also collects novelty ties for reasons unknown; charming but slightly tragic, in the best way.

Knight Hawk

Knight Hawk is broody in the most appealing way, cape fluttering, staring into alleys like he’s waiting for the night to answer him back. He’s strategic, kind of like a chess player who mutters at the pieces, but occasionally surprises everyone with terrible dad jokes—like, out of nowhere. There’s a strong moral code under all the brooding and he can be stubborn to the point of ridiculousness (won’t admit he’s sentimental about old postcards). Secretly has a pet owl or a very judgmental pigeon, I’m not sure.

The Speed

The Speed is pure kinetic energy, like someone fast-forwarded childhood and forgot to put limits on it. He’s impulsive, cracking jokes mid-chase, forgetting where he put his keys every five minutes (how is he so fast and so absentminded?). He’s fun and reckless and somehow deeply loyal, always the first to run into danger and the last to back away, even if that occasionally means dramatic pratfalls. Also, bizarrely, hoards tiny mismatched socks—don’t ask, it’s a thing.

Awesome Man

Awesome Man literally lives up to his name and then some; swagger, poses, the whole package, but there’s a sweet, goofy sincerity underneath that makes you forgive the constant flexing. He’s loud and confident and totally the teammate who announces dinner plans like breaking news, yet he’ll drop it all for someone in need without thinking about applause. Can be pompous one minute and embarrassingly humble the next—very human, honestly. Oh and cooks disastrously but insists on making pancakes for the whole team anyway.

Mr. Smiles

Mr. Smiles smiles like it’s his superpower and also his weapon, and yes it’s a little creepy in the best, worst way. He’s charming, manipulative, and probably reading three rooms at once while handing you a candy apple; you trust him and then don’t. There’s a theatrical quality—clowns, vaudeville vibes—but he also has weirdly tender hobbies (knits tiny hats for statues? maybe). You never really know where his loyalties sit, which is thrilling and a little alarming, honestly.

Golden Goddess

Golden Goddess is glow-in-the-dark regal, like sunlight with a doctorate in empathy. She’s calm and motherly and can disarm an argument with a look, yet she’s also fiercely independent and will absolutely win a fight with grace. People follow her because she makes them feel seen, though she can be distant sometimes—almost aloof—but not in a mean way, more like a queen running on very little sleep. Keeps a ridiculous collection of teacups from places she’s never been, which is oddly endearing.

Blue Scream

Blue Scream is an emotional cannonball who channels feelings into, well, literal sonic chaos sometimes, but it’s beautiful and terrifying at once. She’s raw, honest, and dramatic, the friend who cries in the middle of pizza but then sets the table like a boss. Her outbursts are loud and theatrical but always sincere; she feels everything and won’t apologize for it, although she’ll apologize profusely later because she’s kind. Listens to metal and lullabies at the same time—very chaotic playlist choices.

Black Bow

Black Bow is all about precision and calm; silent, patient, hits the mark, then disappears into shadows like a very handsome punctuation mark. He’s solitary and a little mysterious, prefers arrows to speeches, but has a soft spot for stray animals (especially cats with opinions). He’s team-first when it counts but hates group strategy meetings with a passion and will fall asleep politely in the corner if you try to make him attend. Can be unfailingly practical yet romantic in weird, old-fashioned ways—writes notes on napkins, apparently.

Little Wing

Little Wing is small, sprightly, and utterly unstoppable, like a pocket-sized hurricane of optimism. She’s mischievous, clever, and probably the one who hides your spare phone just to see if you notice (you will). People underestimate her because she’s young and tiny, which is a terrible mistake—she’ll out-sneak you and then offer you a candy bar like nothing happened. Slightly clumsy at times (trips over air), but that just makes her more lovable, honestly.

Red Talon

Red Talon fights like poetry with claws—intense, poetic, and a little feral, in the best possible way. Honor-bound and fierce, she’s the warrior who keeps promises and makes enemies take them back; also writes surprisingly good haikus in the margins of mission reports. She can be hot-headed and reckless when she cares, but her loyalty is rock-solid and dramatic and you’ll respect her for that. Has an odd soft spot for rainy days and street vendors selling spicy noodles—totally human.

Logan Lockwood

Logan Lockwood is the team’s brain in a slightly rumpled hoodie: tech wiz, strategist, and emotionally practiced in dry humor. He’s stoic on the surface but will nerd-out for hours about obscure engineering stuff and then forget to eat (classic). Extremely competent and sometimes socially awkward, he’ll build you a gadget and then panic about which fork to use at dinner—very relatable. Keeps a shelf of comic books and loose tea tins, which tells you everything you need to know about his heart.
