Meet the characters from Timeless

Lucy Preston

Oh Lucy, the earnest history nerd who somehow becomes everyone’s moral compass and also the person who will sprint headfirst into disaster because “history is worth it” — she’s equal parts bookworm and adrenaline junkie. She’s so earnest it’s almost painful, but in a good way, and she has this weird habit of talking to herself like it’s normal which, honestly, it kind of is. Deeply empathetic and stubborn, she clings to the idea of fixing wrongs even when everyone tells her to stop, and yes she wears dresses in the field sometimes (don’t ask, she pulls it off). She gets flustered, cries in weird places, and also has an encyclopedic knowledge of tragic love stories — not that she needs them to cry, but it helps.

Wyatt Logan

Wyatt is the taciturn ex-soldier with a heart that’s actually enormous if you can get past the scowl and the tactical haircut. He’s loyal to a fault, broody in public and suddenly ridiculous in private (like he’ll quote an obscure sitcom line at 2 a.m. and you’re like where did that come from?). Protective, pragmatic, tries to be the calm anchor but is secretly terrified of messing up people he cares about, which makes him both heroic and kind of tragic. He can handle a fight, a motorcycle, and also an awkward hug when no one expects it — he’s messy but dependable, in the best way.

Rufus Carlin

Rufus is the team’s sarcastic, quick-witted tech brain who also has the soul of a late-night DJ and the patience of a saint until you break the time machine, then all bets are off. He’s funny as heck (uses humor as a shield, yes), deeply sentimental, and keeps playlists for every historical era as if that’s normal — sometimes he sings, sometimes he swears, often both. He cares a ton about people and history and will absolutely roast you within an inch of your life but then help you clean up afterwards, like the best kind of chaos friend. Also, he can be way more sentimental than he’d admit, and he eats cereal for dinner — not that anyone asked.

Connor Mason

Connor is the flamboyant billionaire genius who made the time machine and also treats the whole team like part of his weird, expensive family. Loud, brash, and a little show-offy, but annoyingly competent — like he will save your life and then charge you a ridiculous price in moral support. He loves a dramatic entrance, tailored suits, and the kind of confidence that borders on ego but somehow, somehow it usually works out for the best. Underneath the polish is a surprisingly loyal and soft core; he likes cigars and gadgets and also somehow makes terrible coffee for everyone.

Denise Christopher

Denise is the government agent who tries to be the straight line in a very windy map — pragmatic, skeptical, clipboard-ready, and just a touch world-weary. She’s the “no-nonsense” person you hate to argue with because she actually knows what she’s doing and will remind you of protocol while rolling her eyes, which is honestly peak Denise. She has a soft streak that shows up in tiny, annoying ways, like bringing granola bars to stakeouts or being oddly specific about mug choices. By-the-book but not without flexibility when the stakes are real, she balances duty and begrudging personal loyalty like a pro.

Jiya Marri

Jiya is the brilliant data nerd who lives in hoodies, three devices, and a constant, low-level existential crisis about ethics, which makes her both sharp and heartbreakingly human. Super smart, empathetic, and socially awkward in a way that’s adorable and sometimes terrifying because she will out-logic your excuses and then apologize for doing it. She struggles with choices that aren’t just lines of code — like people, feelings, motives — and that tension makes her unexpectedly fierce. Also, she has a playlist for conspiracy theories and an uncanny ability to read a room, even if she pretends she can’t.

Garcia Flynn

Flynn is the charismatic, terrifyingly smart antagonist with a tragic streak and a grin that suggests he already knows five moves ahead. He’s theatrical and vengeful but also has this weird, almost paternal way of explaining why the world is broken, so you half-listen and then immediately regret it because he’s persuasive (ugh). Complicated doesn’t even cover him — he’s tender one minute, chilling the next, and he collects odd keepsakes and scars with equal pride. You want to hate him, you do, but he makes it hard because he believes in his mission like it’s gospel, and somehow that makes him more human, if also more dangerous.
