Meet the characters from Glitch Techs
Miko Kubota
Okay, Miko is chaos in a hoodie and I love her — hyper, loud, and 100% obsessed with anime and extra-sparkly snacks. She’s the kind of person who will sprint into danger with a grin and then immediately apologize to the vending machine she broke. Wildly brave but also kind of impulsive, she’s the heart of the team and will absolutely adopt any fuzzy creature that follows her home (despite swearing she won’t). Also, she has this weird habit of naming her gadgets and sometimes talks to them — which is adorable and slightly terrifying.
High Five
High Five (Hector? He has a million nicknames) is the chill counterbalance to Miko’s energy — cool, sarcastic, low-key brilliant with gadgets and game skills. He’s the dude who wears headphones and snacks but will drop everything to save a teammate, which makes him secretly heroic even when he pretends not to care. Sometimes he’s annoyingly sensible, other times he pulls the most ridiculous stunts, so you never know which version you’ll get. He’s got vibes of “mystery gamer” plus a soft spot for retro consoles — or was it for ramen? — I can’t remember, but it’s one of those.
Phil Altiere
Phil is the by-the-book, slightly frazzled leader who tries to keep the chaos from swallowing everyone whole — bless him, he’s mostly spreadsheets and stern faces. Deep down he’s a massive nerd (like, cataloging-enthusiast level) and will argue about protocol right up until he leaps into action wearing something slightly ridiculous. He can be rigid, then suddenly very dad-joke soft, and somehow both intimidating and kind, which is a weird combo that somehow works. Also, he totally has a “playlist for paperwork” and I will not be convinced otherwise.
Haneesh Jyoshi
Haneesh is the quiet brainiac who loves patterns, logic, and probably seven different kinds of charger in his backpack at all times. He’s the calming tech whisperer — brilliant, a little socially awkward, the kind of guy who will fix a glitch with one hand and overanalyze a sandwich with the other. Doesn’t like drama but gets oddly passionate about obscure trivia, and will explain something in excruciating detail then apologize for it (while making a delicious cup of coffee). Oh, and he’s low-key competitive about board games but would never admit it, ever.
Zahra Rashid
Zahra is pure style and smarts — fierce, fashionable, and lethal in a way that makes you clap quietly so you don’t disturb her. She’s sharp-tongued and quick-thinking, the kind of teammate who’s always three steps ahead and rolling her eyes at chaos (but secretly kind of enjoying it). She posts memes but also reads philosophy sometimes? Confusing but cool. Also, I’m pretty sure she has a collection of pins and a secret playlist of sad songs for late-night strategizing.
Mitch Williams
Mitch is the grizzled veteran with a permanent scowl and zero tolerance for nonsense, but he’ll bake you cookies if you’re having a bad day (like, truly, he makes pastries). He gives off “military-grade mentor” energy — boots, glare, dad vibes — and then laughs at the smallest, dumbest jokes, which throws everyone off. He’s strict because he cares, and he’ll lecture you about safety while secretly messing around with action figures in his free time. He’s a walking contradiction and that’s exactly why he’s lovable.
Ridley
Ridley is smooth, enigmatic, and a little too comfortable playing the shadow-operator role — slick plans, sharper edges, and a habit of disappearing at inconvenient moments. They feel like an antagonist-slash-antihero sometimes, charming in a noir kind of way and also slightly untrustworthy (in the best storytelling sense). Flawless poker face, loves a coffee that’s probably too bitter, and might collect old maps or vinyl — or both? I can’t decide. Somehow terrifying and magnetic at the same time; you’ll notice them even when you try not to.
Adam Michael Nix
Adam (Nix?) is the relatable smart-kid who’s good with mechanics and way too fond of puns — calm, quietly dependable, and suspiciously good at fixing things that should not be fixable. He’s kind of a background hero: not always loud about it but the whole operation would fall apart without him, honestly. He bakes occasionally? Or builds tiny robots shaped like cupcakes — either way it’s a vibe. There’s a gentle awkwardness to him that makes him super endearing, and sometimes he surprises everyone by being braver than he seems.
Bergy Bergoch
Bergy is the big softie of the crew — massive, boisterous, loves gadgets and plants equally, and will protect you with everything he has (including his questionable taste in hats). He’s clumsy in the cutest way, does this loud, happy laugh, and is also inexplicably skilled at very specific junker crafts. Can be scared of small things (like spiders) but will face down giant glitches without hesitation — which makes no sense and I adore it. Also collects stickers and will show you his sticker book at inopportune moments.
