Meet the characters from Blue Box

Hina Chouno

Oh man, Hina is such a delight — the quiet powerhouse who looks like she belongs in a flower shop but hits shuttlecocks like thunder. She’s fiercely dedicated to badminton, the kind of person who practices until her fingers cramp and then smiles like it was a perfectly normal evening (also she steals other people’s snacks, somehow). Sweet and awkward in tiny social ways, but also unreasonably stubborn about uniforms and handshakes — contradictory, I know, but that’s part of the charm. She keeps a tiny luck charm in her bag that she half-believes in and half-rolls her eyes about, and honestly that sums up her whole vibe.

Taiki Inomata

Taiki is the literal tall cinnamon roll of the cast — goofy grin, ridiculously long limbs on the court, and this almost embarrassing level of earnestness. He plays basketball like he breathes it: big, loud, and somehow unbelievably precise, while off-court he trips over nothing and apologizes to inanimate objects. Confident where it counts — games, friends — but hilariously shy about feelings, which makes his quiet moments hit extra hard (he’ll also adopt any stray animal, no questions asked). He collects dumb keychains and insists he doesn’t, then you find them lined up on his dresser like trophies.

Chinatsu Kano

Chinatsu is the spark plug — loud, forever energetic, and the kind of friend who will drag you to practice whether you want to go or not. She’s fiercely loyal, a tiny tornado of encouragement and brutal honesty, and somehow juggles being competitive with being the team’s unofficial emotional support person. She claims she hates romance but will absolutely write sappy fan notes in secret, which is peak Chinatsu-level mixed signals and I live for it. Also, she’s both an immaculate planner and a walking disaster (color-coded schedule in one hand, mismatched socks in the other), which makes her endlessly entertaining.
