Welcome to Quiz: Bofuri Which Character Are You

About “Bofuri” in a few words:

Bofuri: I Don’t Want to Get Hurt, so I’ll Max Out My Defense is a light novel and anime series that follows the adventures of a high school student named Kaede Honjo, who goes by the name Maple in the virtual reality game New World Online. After realizing the game is full of dangers, Maple decides to focus on defense and soon becomes an unbeatable tank. Along with her friend Sally, she embarks on exciting adventures, battling monsters and making new friends along the way.

Meet the characters from Bofuri

Mii

Oh Mii, the softest little cloud of chaos — shy IRL but absolutely ferocious in-game, like you would not expect it. She’s the kind of player who quietly buffs everyone and then somehow has the highest damage because of one weird build choice she made at 3 a.m. (she hoards snacks and keychains, I’m pretty sure). Loyal to a fault, a total supportive heart, but also will suddenly explode into panic mode if you say the word “boss” out loud. Honestly, she’s the friend you want on your team and the one who will bring cookies and a spreadsheet.

Kasumi

Kasumi is that stealthy, competent type who also tells terrible puns and somehow makes them land. She’s precise, likes order, and will ninja-kick a problem into submission — except when she trips over her own shoelace, which happens more than you’d think. There’s a mysterious vibe (smoky past? secret hobby? probably both), but she’s also the person who will perfect the group’s raid timings while humming an anime theme. Loves quiet triumphs and hates being the center of attention, but will accept praise if you give it with a bow.

Maple

Maple is pure delightful chaos, the kind of person who turns “defense” into an art form and then breaks the game by accident. Innocent, curious, and stubbornly optimistic — she treats every mechanics sheet like a menu to experiment with, and I adore her for it. She’s cheerful to the point of being a walking sunbeam, but also bafflingly strategic sometimes? Like, she’ll smile and then wipe out an entire dungeon with one oversized shield. Totally loves snacks, cries at cute things, and has that “I don’t understand consequences” energy that literally wins fights.

Sally

Sally gives big older-sister energy: calm, a little sarcastic, and way too reliable (in a good way). She’s the planner, the one who keeps the team fed, sane, and on time — also the person who will roast you gently for being dumb but hand you a healing potion afterward. Has a sweet tooth she pretends not to have, collects teacups, and will smirk when you mess up a strategy because honestly she finds you endearing. A low-key powerhouse with a soft core, and yes she definitely has a stash of plushies she denies fiercely.

Iz

Iz is cool, aloof, and quietly terrifying — the type who makes perfect plays and then shrugs like it was nothing. Techy vibes? Maybe. He’s weirdly into optimization spreadsheets and also has a ridiculous habit of naming his gear (don’t ask, he’ll explain in excruciating detail). He’s distant but loyal, speaks in short sentences, and then randomly reveals he’s been binge-watching romcoms; it’s confusing but charming. Honestly, you want him on your team because he’s silent until the clutch moment and then — boom — game changer.

Kanade

Kanade is calm, a little dramatic in a refined way, and somehow both soothing and edge-of-your-seat intense. She’ll strategize like a chess master and then bake you cookies while explaining the meta, which I love because who does that? Has mysterious hobbies (plays piano? collects stamps? both?) and is inexplicably cool with last-minute chaos. Protective but not overbearing, kind of the stoic friend who will drop everything if you need help — and then act like it was just a normal Tuesday.

Kuromu

Kuromu is delightfully gothic and petty in the best sense — stylish, exacting, and a little dramatic (cape optional, but recommended). She has this intimidating aura but is actually weirdly sentimental: collects trinkets, cries during happy endings, insists she never cries, contradicts herself constantly. Perfectionist with an aesthetic, she’ll critique your gear while secretly admiring your dedication, and then adopt like three stray NPC pets. Basically the elegant antihero of the friend group who will save your life and judge your fashion sense simultaneously.
