Meet the characters from Majo no Tabitabi
Elaina
Elaina is a sparkling, bookish witch who travels the world because of course she has to see everything — and she writes notes in the margins like a mad poet. She’s clever, a little sarcastic, and loves stories more than people sometimes, though she can be surprisingly kind when it matters. She fusses over her outfit like it’s part of the spellcasting (and also will blunder into a village barefoot if the mood strikes). Her curiosity is both her compass and her curse; she keeps journals, loses them in inns, and then pretends that was the plan.
Amnesia
Amnesia is literally the living paradox of the show — forgetful, obviously, but not in a cute way, more like a wandering riddle that makes you ache. She drifts through places with a blank look and then suddenly lights up over a tune or a color, like memory is a flicker she catches sometimes. She hoards tiny tokens and misplaces the big truths (or is it the other way around?), which is heartbreakingly poetic. Also she might collect postcards? Or maybe that’s someone else — but definitely fragile and oddly fierce when pushed.
Victorica
Victorica is the tiny, smug genius who slices through mysteries with a grin and a candy in her mouth — every moment with her is a delightful brain-tickle. She’s ridiculously sharp, secretive, and loves puzzles so much she practically inhales clues. Cold about truth but ridiculous about cats and tea, which is the best, most infuriating contradiction. People think doll = harmless; big mistake — she’ll unravel your alibi before you finish your sentence.
Flan
Flan is the absolute cinnamon roll of the bunch — bouncy, well-meaning, and always cooking something questionable but somehow delicious. She messes up spells half the time and apologizes in advance, then it all kind of works out because her heart is enormous. Obsessed with cute hats and surprisingly good with tea that doubles as emotional therapy, like a walking comfort blanket. She’ll squeal at spiders and then heroically save the day five minutes later, bless her.
Mina
Mina is the grown-up even when she’s being delightfully odd — steady, practical, and the kind of person who hands out useful advice like candy. Blunt and excellent at brewing potions/tea (sometimes both at once), she’ll tell you the hard truth and knit you a scarf while doing it. She collects weird teacups and clicks her tongue at nonsense with supreme satisfaction. Low-key ferocious in a fight and very maternal, though she denies the maternal thing and rolls her eyes, which is exactly her.
Nino
Nino is the handsome troublemaker who strolls in like he owns the sun and five minutes later is sulking under a tree for reasons only he understands. A flirt and a little lazy, he’s always got some ridiculous plan that almost works — hates rules but worships talent. He collects odd keys, hums when plotting, and pets stray animals dramatically (I mean, come on). Under the swagger there’s actual care, but he treats that like a trade secret and denies everything with a grin.
Saya
Saya is soft-spoken and ghostly in the best way, like a lullaby that sticks with you — delicate but with a core you wouldn’t want to test. She carries herself like someone who writes tiny, secret poems and makes paper cranes for strangers on trains. Quiet, observant, the person who speaks once and changes the mood of a room; also very into moonlit walks and oddly theatrical knives (they’re props? maybe). Hates attention but will perform for an entire town if it helps someone, which is so her and I love that.
Sheila
Sheila is the slightly tipsy auntie witch everyone wants in their life — loud, dramatic, and full of scandalous stories that are 50% true and 100% entertaining. She smokes ancient pipes, wears an absurd amount of jewelry, and somehow knows the gossip of three continents (and probably started half of it). Fiercely loyal and will bench-press a demon if you insult her friends, then apologize with cookies. Also she says she hates young witches’ fashions but secretly sashays in them when no one’s looking, which is peak Sheila.
