Meet the characters from Code Lyoko
Jeremy Belpois
Jeremy is the resident genius of Code Lyoko — like the kid who lives in the server room and speaks fluent code. He’s awkward and earnest and would rather debug an algorithm than go to a party, but he’s also ridiculously loyal and will nerd-sprint into danger for his friends. Sometimes he seems nervy and overcautious — math anxiety? no, he loves math — but he’s totally in command when catastrophe hits (he’s the brain behind the whole operation). He wears glasses, mutters to himself, probably has an emergency supply of coffee and sticky notes taped to his monitor, and blushes at compliments in the most adorably helpless way.
Aelita Schaeffer
Aelita is sweet and brave and a little otherworldly — like if pastel pink got turned into a person who also knows how to blow up monsters. She starts off mysterious, part virtual ghost/part human, but grows into this fierce, stubborn hero who won’t quit on her friends (and can lock doors in the real world, which is terrifyingly useful). She’s quietly intense and softer than you expect, loves flowers and maybe bad puns, and can pilot a virtual hover-thing like it’s nothing. Sometimes she seems fragile but then hacks through obstacles with pure stubbornness — also she might have an awful memory for pizza toppings, I swear.
Odd Della Robbia
Odd is the show-off; flashy, hyperactive, always cracking jokes and striking ridiculous poses in battle like a cat who learned gymnastics. He’s silly and lovable, with neon hair and enthusiasm that borders on chaos but he’s actually surprisingly perceptive when it counts. He draws comics, loves fashion (in a very vague way), and will pair ridiculous one-liners with perfectly timed laser cuts — and also he has that weird calm about faintly existential things sometimes, which is wild. He’s not subtle, but he cares fiercely and would throw himself in the path of an enemy without a second thought; also he probably hoards gummy candies.
Ulrich Stern
Ulrich is the broody sword-fan with a heart of gold, all quiet intensity and samurai headband vibes. He’s disciplined and loyal and has that classic “I’d stab a monster but also maybe write a poem” energy — I firmly believe he owns more black t-shirts than living people should. He’s awkward around Aelita-ish situations, stubborn to a fault, and ridiculously brave in the field. He can be cold but only because he’s internally melodramatic and actually very protective (and secretly smiles when his friends win, even if he scowls).
Yumi Ishiyama
Yumi is the calm, precise one who always knows exactly when to throw a fan — or whatever she uses — and when to shut everyone up. She’s composed, tactical, and emotionally steady but also has these tiny fierce moments where she absolutely melts for her friends and then goes back to being implacable, which is awesome. She’s into martial arts, very organized, probably labels her lunch, and has an unexpectedly dry sense of humor; also she once showed up with a tiny portable shrine? maybe my memory. She’s loyal and quietly the glue that holds the group together even when nobody notices, and she looks amazing doing it.
William Dunbar
William starts off as the new guy with a good smile and athletic chops, the kind who could be your friend or rival depending on the playlist you choose. He’s confident, ambitious, sometimes bro-ish, and has this magnetic “I can solve it” vibe — also secretly insecure and looking for approval, which makes him interesting and also frustrating. Later things get messy (XANA hijinks, mind-control stuff) and he becomes dangerous and tragic in turns, which is heartbreaking because you can still see the nice guy buried under the robot-evil. He’s good at sports, probably owns a regrettable scarf, and has this weirdly polite way of being threatening that is both scary and oddly charming.
