Meet the characters from Inuyasha

Inuyasha

Inuyasha is the classic grumpy-but-irresistible half-demon who will growl at you and then save your life two minutes later — honestly the mood swings are the main attraction. He’s loud, stubborn, and fights with a sword like his life depends on it (which sometimes it does), but he also has this ridiculous soft spot for tiny things and sweets — yes, really. He’ll call you an idiot and then bring you flowers? Okay, maybe not flowers, but a weirdly shaped goblet or something, you get the vibe. Love him for the temper and stay for the loyalty; also he sleeps like a puppy when he’s comfy, which is not what you expect from a legendary warrior.

Kagome Higurashi

Kagome is that modern shrine-girl energy: kind, brave, sarcastic when needed, and somehow always has a first-aid kit and a homework assignment in her bag at the same time. She’s fiercely moral and ridiculously persistent — will out-talk, out-shoot, or out-stare just about anyone, and then text her mom about it later (probably). She’s both practical and dreamy; one minute she’s burying her nose in an ancient scroll, the next she’s complaining about curry back home, which, yes, she misses like crazy. Honestly she’s the glue of the group — sensible, noisy, and somehow exactly what everyone needs even when she denies it.

Miroku

Miroku is the charmingly infuriating monk who flirts like it’s his spiritual duty and prays with one hand while signing a dubious bet with the other. He’s clever and lazy in a way that somehow balances out — brilliant strategies, spotty chores — and then there’s that curse in his palm (the Wind Tunnel), which makes him heroic and also tragic and occasionally a bit smug. He’s forever teetering between sincere compassion and “please notice me” antics, and you’ll roll your eyes but also forgive him because he can mend wounds and tell terrible jokes in the same breath. Also, he drinks tea like a refined scholar but leaves snack crumbs everywhere; very human.

Sango

Sango is pure badass with a tender center; she slices demon limbs and then stitches a stuffed-animal’s ear back on because why not. Deadly accurate, fiercely loyal, and emotionally deep — oh my god the grief and strength combo is real — but she also has this tiny, soft obsession with grooming Kirara and collecting oddly specific hairpins. She’s stoic in public and dramatic in private; she’ll protect her friends with a look that could melt ice, yet she’ll cry into a pillow when she thinks no one’s watching. Basically the team’s rock, but like, a rock that will kick your face in if you mess with her family.

Shippo

Shippo is the adorable trickster kid who can steal your snack and your heart in one bound; he lies like a tiny, apologetic magician and is absolutely not above staging a fake monster attack for attention. He’s mischievous, a little insecure, and has a surprisingly big emotional radar — will pout, will brag, will help you sneak into a castle when it counts. He’s small and occasionally useless in a fight (fine, often), but he’s brave in that stubborn “I won’t be left behind” way, and he has a million exaggerated stories that may or may not be true. Loves candy, hates being underestimated, and will insist he’s totally not scared of anything even as he clings to your sleeve.

Kirara

Kirara is the fierce-yet-cuddly demon cat who turns into a flying lynx-of-doom and also purrs like a lap blanket on demand — so versatile! She’s loyal to Sango to a fault and somehow reads the room better than anyone, plus she’s suspiciously good at dramatic entrances (fire-fur and all). She’s protective, graceful in battle, and has this old-soul vibe like she’s seen more sunsets than the rest of them combined, but will also be found napping in sunshine spots like a tiny fur-shaped sunbeam. Honestly, she’s the team’s silent guardian and the best cuddle negotiator in the series.
