Yona

Okay, Yona starts off all rosy-cheeked and a little clueless, like “princess stole from sitcom,” but wow does she grow — stubborn, brave, and absolutely refuses to be a damsel for long. She cares so hard; it’s almost loud, like she hoards feelings and then explodes into action (also she has a weird fondness for orange soup? or was it dumplings — I’m fuzzy, but it’s cute). Deep down she’s fiercely loyal and surprisingly tactical when push comes to shove, though she’ll still cry at sappy songs and then punch a training bag five minutes later. Honestly, she oscillates between adorable and terrifying in the best way, and her red hair is basically its own character.

Son Hak

Son Hak is basically a walking thunderstorm with a soft spot — gruff, violent in battle, and utterly devoted (protective to the point of annoying, but you get it). He’s got that one-worded glare thing, but then he’ll do something unexpectedly silly like nap in the sun like a cat or buy snacks for no reason. Hot-headed? Yes. Childishly stubborn? Also yes. But he’s the kind of person who’d throw himself between danger and the people he cares about and then mutter about it like it’s no big deal.

Yoon

Yoon (yes, the stoic type) is the quiet, calculating sort who gives you one eyebrow and lethal calm, very much brain over drama — except when he doesn’t want to admit his heart is breaking, which is often. He’s emotionally restrained to the point of being a puzzle; small gestures mean everything with him (he’d probably curate your tea exactly right and then walk away). There’s a melancholy elegance to him, like antique furniture that’s a little too precious and slightly sad. Also, he probably keeps a secret stash of stupidly sweet candies and denies it with dignity.

Soo-won

Soo-won is the charming intellectual with a velvet glove and a steel fist — charismatic, ambitious, and heartbreakingly complex, like a villain who keeps apologizing in a very sincere tone. He’s got this whole “I did it for the greater good” vibe, which makes him fascinating and infuriating at once; you want to hug him and lecture him. Shin-Ah is the softest shadow — painfully shy, painfully loyal, and bless his soul he can stare like an oracle (and then freeze because social interactions are scary). He speaks so little but when he acts, it’s like thunder: deadly precise and absolutely unwavering. There’s this heartbreaking innocence — he loves small things (flowers, maybe origami?) and hates confrontation yet is terrifying in defence mode. Also, he might doodle tiny faces on his food, which is both adorable and slightly eerie.

Kija

Kija is the noble, sword-wielding white dragon who is simultaneously courtly and adorably awkward — duty-bound to the point of obsession but weirdly old-fashioned and squeaky about manners. He has honor tattooed on his forehead (metaphorically) and will apologize to a tree if he jostles it, then turn around and decapitate an enemy with terrifying calm. Extremely loyal, slightly jealous, and very proud, but also loves cute things (ribbons? stuffed animals? I can’t remember) which makes him weirdly soft. He speaks like he walked out of a historical drama and yet sometimes blurts out hilariously modern phrases — inconsistent in the best way.

Zeno

Zeno is the gentle old wind dragon who is honestly a huge mood — kind, playful, and a little childlike even though he’s ancient and frightening when riled. He has this luminous, otherworldly vibe, but then he’ll squeal over snacks or tease everyone like a grandpa with zero filter. Mysterious and warm, he watches people like he’s cataloguing stars, and his loyalty is quietly enormous. Also, he might hoard odd little trinkets and insist they’re “important for the breeze” — charmingly weird.

Jae-Ha

Jae-Ha is the flirty, free-spirited green dragon who flutters between charming rogue and surprisingly deep friend, like a drunk poet who can still save your life. He loves to gamble, drink, and tease, but beneath the sass there’s a melancholic streak — cares fiercely but avoids chains like the plague. Musical, mobile, and always ready with a joke or a reckless flight plan, he’s addictive in small doses and devastating in big ones.
