Meet the characters from Burn Notice
Michael Westen
Okay, Michael is that quiet, slightly haunted spy who’s always three steps ahead and two steps emotionally distant — in the best possible way. He’ll MacGyver a bomb out of a paperclip and a paper cup but also sob quietly into his coffee at 2 a.m., like, true soft-core spy energy. Loves problem-solving more than people sometimes, though he’ll bend the law in the name of “helping” and then act like he didn’t enjoy it, which is… suspicious. Always has a plan, sometimes lets it fall apart on purpose, and definitely owns a trench coat he only wears ironically.
Fiona Glenanne
Fiona is a walking, talking grenade of charisma and chaos — weapons expert, fast with a lighter and an even faster comeback. She’s fiercely loyal (and maybe just as fiercely jealous), the kind of person who’ll blow up your car and then patch you up with a Band-Aid and leftover vodka, no questions asked. Has a soft spot for bad boys and burnt toast, hates betrayal with the intensity of a soap opera, and somehow bakes a mean cake between detonations. Hot-headed but deeply practical, and secretly loves tiny domestic things even though she’d deny it with a smile and a Molotov.
Sam Axe
Sam is the charming retired Navy dude who acts like his hobbies are drinking and bad jokes but actually knows how to steer a boat, read a room, and disappear into a party in seconds. He’s the guy who claims he’s “semi-retired” while somehow being everyone’s favorite fixer and story-delivery machine — expect tall tales and two beers that may or may not be his third. Protective, annoyingly optimistic, and annoyingly effective; he’ll bail you out and then ask for nothing except maybe another round and a fish sandwich. Has a surprising sentimental streak (desk full of photos) and also collects ridiculous hats, because of course he does.
Madeline Westen
Madeline is loud, unfiltered, and the kind of mother who will guilt-trip you with a casserole and then threaten your enemies with a casserole, too — simultaneously terrifying and oddly comforting. She’s meddling in that classic way where you’re furious at her and secretly grateful a minute later; she knows how to push buttons and how to patch them up, sometimes in the same phone call. Has a murky past that she half-admits to and half-sings about at family dinners, and she alternates between romanticizing the past and rewriting it entirely. Tough as nails, soft as tissue, and deeply, messily protective — she will absolutely call people out at the worst possible moment and then bring homemade cookies.
