She’s lethal and maternal in the same breath, can hotwire a car and cry over a song, and also claims she “doesn’t remember being vulnerable” but you know she does. Patterson is the brilliant, adorable tech genius who lives in a world of spreadsheets and warm beverages and somehow knows everything about everything and also your birthday. Shy and polite and a little awkward in social settings, yet fierce as hell when it comes to protecting data or people; she will out-nerd you and then hand you a homemade cookie. She has an aesthetic — dark hair, sharper wit, and a horror-movie level knowledge of obscure laws — and she somehow balances empathy with razor-sharp logic. Quietly ferocious, endlessly curious, and prone to carrying an absurd number of pens.

Edgar Reade

Edgar is the lovable ex-millennial IT guy turned field agent who trips over his own feet and then makes a joke so you forget to worry about him — seriously, he’s charmingly awkward. Loyal to a fault, he tries to be cool (and sometimes succeeds, mostly by accident), has a surprising knack for improvisation in high-stress situations, and is the team’s earnest heart.
