Welcome to Quiz: Who Are You From 'Guardians of the Galaxy'

About “Guardians of the Galaxy” in a few words:

Guardians of the Galaxy is a Marvel superhero movie series that follows the adventures of a group of intergalactic misfits as they try to save the universe from various threats. The first film, released in 2014, introduces us to Peter Quill, aka Star-Lord, who teams up with a group of aliens including Gamora, Rocket, Groot, and Drax to stop Ronan the Accuser from using a powerful artifact to destroy the galaxy. The films are known for their humor, action-packed sequences, and beloved characters who have become fan favorites in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Meet the characters from Guardians of the Galaxy

Groot

Groot is the walking, talking tree who somehow manages to be both the biggest mood and the softest heart in the whole galaxy. He literally says one line sometimes (and it somehow says EVERYTHING), but his tiny changes in tone are like full-on novels if you pay attention — also I swear he hums under his breath sometimes, maybe he doesn’t, who knows. He’s ridiculous at being adorable and also a terrifying wall of wood when needed, and honestly his regenerative power (and the whole baby Groot phase) made me cry more than I expected. Team muscle, plant dad, occasional potted-plant aesthetic influencer — he’s quietly the emotional anchor of the group.

Gamora

Gamora is pure lethal grace with a very complicated past that she’s still sorting through — assassin pedigree, killer instincts, but trying so hard to be better (and failing in the best possible way). She’s sharp, strategic, and somehow devastatingly soft with certain people (she pretends not to be, of course), and also has the best “I will kill you” stare in cinematic history. There’s this weird contrast where she’s hyper-competent in combat and terrible at letting people in, yet she keeps making tiny, reckless choices to protect the crew — go figure. Also, random detail: maybe she misplaces swords in her ship? Or is that just me remembering wrong — either way, she’s chaos in leather.

Drax the Destroyer

Drax is literal to the bone and delightfully unfiltered, which makes him both the funniest and the saddest character at the same time. He’ll take metaphors like a personal offense (he hates metaphors, will fight them), and then surprise you by saying something painfully insightful about loss and vengeance. He’s a walking wrecking ball who claims he doesn’t like jokes but then becomes the punchline — stubborn, honor-bound, bigger-hearted than he appears. Also, somehow has a soft spot for odd pets and terrible poetry; I don’t make the rules.

Star-Lord A.K.A. Peter Quill

Peter is the charming mess you can’t stop watching — part space pirate, part nostalgic Earth dork with a mixtape and a lot of unresolved feelings. He leads like a wannabe hero who reads the manual later (or never), flings one-liners, and dances through chaos — literally will dance during conflict if the beat’s right. He’s brave, impulsive, and deeply insecure about being “from Earth,” which is endlessly endearing and also the source of half his mistakes. Also he steals headphones, maybe collects mom’s memory stuff compulsively, and definitely has a problem with sunglasses indoors — iconic and messy.

Rocket Raccoon

Rocket is chaos in fur: a tiny, furious genius who builds bombs like they’re IKEA furniture and insults everything in sight (including your life choices). He acts like he doesn’t care about anyone except gadgets, but will dismantle his pride and several engines to save the team — grumpy but protective, secretly soft in the worst possible way. He’s sarcastic, brilliant, and deeply insecure about being “just” a raccoon — also kind of addicted to reckless modifications and questionable moral choices. Quirky little fact I’ll argue about forever: he definitely cries in private, maybe over a wrench, maybe over childhood trauma, who can say — classic Rocket.
