About “Inside Job” in a few words:
“Inside Job” is a Netflix original animated series that follows the daily lives of the employees of Cognito Inc., a powerful and secretive corporation that runs the world’s economy. The series explores the conspiracies and cover-ups that take place within the company, as well as the personal lives and relationships of its employees. With humor and wit, “Inside Job” offers a satirical take on corporate culture and the world of conspiracy theories.
Meet the characters from Inside Job
Reagan Ridley
Okay, Reagan is the brilliant, anxious mastermind type — the kind of genius who builds robots in her sleep and then apologizes to them the next morning. She’s socially awkward in the most adorable-but-cringey way, hyper-focused, and convinced that every light flicker is either a new conspiracy or a really bad sign of corporate HVAC. She loves logic and really hates small talk (but also collects novelty mugs, so go figure), and she’s fiercely loyal to the people she trusts even when she refuses to admit she actually trusts them. Honestly she’s equal parts terrifyingly capable and surprisingly soft, and she’ll save the world before breakfast and then cry about her pride during lunch.
Rand Ridley
Rand is chaos in a cardigan — the grumpy ex-CEO/genius whose brain is full of brilliant ideas and terrible decisions, often at the same time. He’s paranoid, theatrical, and prone to sudden bursts of nostalgia (and also occasional show-tune solos? I swear he sings in the shower), but you can tell he loves his strange little empire in a weird, broken way. He’ll sulk about being ignored and then invent a perfectly legal (maybe) plot to get back at you, and somehow it usually involves a ridiculous gadget. He’s stubborn, weirdly sentimental, and deeply unreliable in the best storytelling sense — you never quite know if he’s about to save the day or start a fire.
Brett Hand
Brett is the eternal sunshine of the agency — painfully optimistic, suspiciously well-dressed, and unnervingly cheerful even when the world is collapsing. He’s the guy who believes in HR-style pep talks and also knows how to deploy a tactical team, which is somehow both adorable and kind of terrifying. He has this wholesome, dad-joke energy (with an FBI badge?) and keeps a binder labeled “Feelings” next to his combat gear — heartfelt and slightly confusing. He’s loyal to a fault, maybe a little naive, and definitely someone you’d want on your side when things get messy.
Gigi Thompson
Gigi is the low-key wildcard — sleek, stylish, and mysterious, like a noir film in a designer coat who also bakes really good sourdough on weekends. She’s calm and deadly when she needs to be, but she’ll also critique your wallpaper and bring a casserole to funerals (or is that a funeral? I can’t remember, but she definitely brings casseroles). There’s a cool, almost ambivalent aura around her — she cares, but on her own terms, and she’s got secrets tucked under that perfect manicure. She’s the friend you don’t expect to text you at 3 AM with an existential meme and then vanish for three weeks — dramatic but dependable in surprising ways.
J.R. Scheimpough
J.R. is the smooth, impossibly charming suit who runs the company and the conspiracy with a smile that could probably sell you a bridge (and he would, politely). He’s corporate, calculating, and theatrical, like a CEO crossed with a late-night host, always three moves ahead and always wearing slightly too much cologne. He makes grand gestures, loves a good power play, and somehow has a surprisingly soft spot for… I don’t know, orchids? Neon signs? It’s confusing — he’s both the polished villain and the weirdly tender mentor, which makes him equal parts chilling and fascinating.
