Meet the characters from Ranking of Kings

Bojji

Oh man, Bojji is the absolute heart-magnet of the show — tiny, soft-spoken (well, technically quiet), and somehow impossibly brave for a kid who the world keeps underestimating. He’s a prince who can’t hear and doesn’t speak like other people do, but honestly he understands everything and also has this stubborn, ridiculous optimism that refuses to quit. He trips over his cape a lot and cries sometimes, and then five minutes later he’s making the toughest call like he’s always done it — contradictory, yes, but in the best way. Also he loves small silly things (I’m pretty sure he hoards buttons? or seeds? I can’t remember) and has this way of making you cheer even when he’s terrified.

Daida

Daida is chaos with a crown-shaped edge — loud, theatrical, and absolutely convinced the world is either his stage or his enemy, depending on the hour. He swings between being a full-on bully and this oddly vulnerable, insecure mess who wants people to notice him (and then hates them for noticing, classic). He’s aggressive in the best/worst ways, obsessed with power and flash, but also has weird moments of tenderness (like with animals? or a plant? I might be fuzzy). Honestly he’s the kind of guy who’ll sword-fight his feelings and lose, then blame everyone else — dramatic but oddly human.

Hiling

Hiling is the queen-who-means-business, a total warrior-mom type with an iron jaw and tactics that would make generals weep. She’s fiercely protective — sometimes to the point of terrifying everyone — but she’s also nurturing in this blunt, sandwich-it-with-swords way that somehow works. She commands respect, rides into situations like a legend, and yet you’ll catch little gestures (a soft look, a weird fondness for an odd snack) that undo the whole stern persona. I keep thinking she’s all strategy and armor, and then she surprises you by laughing at a ridiculous joke and suddenly you’re on her side forever.

Domas

Domas is this hulking, gruff guardian who gives out advice like pocket-sized proverbs — and he’s somehow both a brick wall and the warmest couch you could imagine. He’s protective to a fault, has a booming presence, and will quietly do whatever needs doing without complaining (but he’ll complain loudly about tea, don’t ask why). There’s a softness — he’s the kind of big guy who reads bedtime stories, or maybe writes terrible poems? — so he’s intimidating and kind of a softie at the same time. Oh, and he has a ridiculous laugh that makes everyone feel instantly safer, even in the middle of chaos.

Bebin

Bebin! Tiny pants, huge personality — flamboyant, scheming, and endlessly dramatic in a way that’s both annoying and oddly lovable. He flits around court with gossip, plans, and an exaggerated swoop of his cape, always calculating but also easily distracted by sparkle (or snacks, or gossip, honestly). He’s not the bravest on paper — will dodge a direct fight — but when push comes to shove he surprises people by stepping up in ways that make you clap and then be confused by your own reaction. Also, he has a ridiculous number of hats? Or brooches? I can’t remember but fashion is definitely involved.

Kage

Kage is one of those characters who sneaks into your heart without asking — a shadowy, scrappy leader of a clan who’s fiercely loyal to Bojji and totally overprotective in the best way. He’s clever, quick, a little mischievous, and also ridiculously tender (like he’s a knife-wielding teddy bear — somehow both terrifying and adorable). He’s got this whole “I’ll do anything” vibe, including tiny acts of weird domesticity (cooking? knitting? probably both), and he’ll jump into danger grinning like it’s a picnic. Also, he’s definitely got a complicated relationship with food or personal space — loves snacks, hates baths? — and that makes him perfect.
