Meet the characters from JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure

Gappy

Gappy is this oddly gentle, curious mystery machine — like part-teen, part-detective, all awkward charm. He’s quietly fierce about finding out who he is and keeps losing and reclaiming pieces of life (literally, sometimes, because his Stand has that weird stealing vibe). Soft-spoken but also gets these sudden bursts of stubborn rage, and he’s way more tender than he lets on — he’ll offer you tea and then punch a wall, probably in the same hour. Also, he smells faintly of citrus? Or was that the gum… I swear he likes gum.

Bruno Bucciarati

Bruno is the calm, stitched-together rock everyone rallies behind — kind of tragic and noble and oddly fashion-forward with those zipper vibes. He runs his crew like a mom who also happens to unzip reality, which is both terrifying and comforting. Fiercely moral but also pragmatic; he’ll break your heart with a speech and then make you zip your problems away. Tiny quirk: always checks pockets twice, even when nothing’s in them.

Gyro Zeppeli

Gyro is showman, teacher, chaos wrapped in a bow-tied mystery; he rolls in with a laugh and a Steel Ball and somehow makes hitting things look poetic. He’s loud and philosophical and stubborn in the sweetest way — mentor energy but the kind that smacks you if you’re being silly. Has weird rituals and sings to himself sometimes (I think) and insists on doing things “the Zeppeli way,” which is both exhausting and brilliant. Bit dramatic, but come on, that hat.

Johnny Joestar

Johnny starts off bitter and broken and then becomes this ravenous seeker of meaning and speed — tragic cowboy energy with math in his head. He obsesses, he dreams in spirals, and he has this weirdly tender bond with horses and people who annoy him (which is most people). Stoic? Sometimes. Whiny? Often. But his growth is painfully beautiful and he looks like he’s thinking a thousand existential things while chewing tobacco.

Funny Valentine

Funny Valentine is terrifyingly polite and impossibly nationalistic — he smiles like a president and thinks in chess moves that make you sick. He’s obsessed with “the greater good” in a way that’s somehow both delusional and strategic; he’ll pick realities like outfits and call it duty. Charming? Yes. Murderous in a very bureaucratic way? Also yes. Little odd detail: he collects miniature flags and smells faintly of cologne and bad intentions.

Dio Brando

Dio is pure dramatic villainy, all charisma, cruelty, and ego; he walks into a room and the sun seems to go a bit paler. He’s a narcissist with a regal accent (in your head) who loves power, flashy poses, and monologuing — also, very into roses, probably. Insanely confident, ruthless, and theatrical, but he’s also got moments where he actually seems almost… bored? Which is worse, honestly. He probably keeps a velvet cape and a diary of insults.

Yoshikage Kira

Kira is the immaculate, horrifyingly calm man who wants a quiet life and absolutely will not let anything (or anyone) disrupt that — even if his hobby is catastrophic. He’s meticulous, blandly polite, and obsessed with hands in the most unsettling way; he likes order so much he will go to insane lengths to keep it. Outwardly normal, inwardly extremely not. Quirk: he treats soap like a luxury and definitely has a favorite playlist for relaxing after a day of “normal chores.”

Rohan Kishibe

Rohan is the genius jerk mangaka who treats people like sketches and then gets obsessed with the juiciest bits of their lives. He’s arrogant, brilliant, and nosy in the cutest way imaginable — heaven’s door lets him read people like open pages and he’s delighted. Very passionate about authenticity and also will physically chase you down for a good story, which is both terrifying and oddly romantic. Sketchbook always out, hair always weird, and probably allergic to boredom.

Jobin Higashikata

Jobin is the quietly scheming family man who smiles like everything’s fine while quietly rearranging the board to suit him. He’s clever in a small-town, small-minded way — petty, proud, and frustratingly competent when it comes to family reputation and money. Doesn’t do loud villainy; prefers slow, surgical moves and keeping up appearances (and the shirts are always immaculate). He drinks tea politely while plotting, which feels extra sinister for some reason.

Jotaro Kujo

Jotaro is the gruff, stoic punch-hero who says less than he needs to and still ends up being the most reliable person in the room. He’s quiet, unshakable, and has that “I’ll fix it with one stare” energy — also very dad-like in a tough, awkward way. Deadly serious when things get real but somehow soft around family and small animals (don’t tell him I said that). Weirdly loves the sea? Or was that a hat he liked.

Guido Mista

Mista is the laid-back, chatterbox gunner who talks to his bullets like they’re his best friends and gets inexplicably intense about superstition (no fours allowed!). He’s goofy, loyal, and brave to the point of reckless joy; there’s a kind of warm chaos to him that you can’t help but root for. Loves a good laugh and a good shot, and he’s annoyingly steady in a firefight. Also, he probably names his hats and has a favourite pasta recipe that he’s suspiciously protective about.
