Meet the characters from DuckTales

Scrooge McDuck

Okay, Scrooge is peak grumpy-grandpa energy but like, the best kind of grumpy? He’s a stingy tycoon who literally swims in money (I still can’t believe that money bin thing) and yet somehow he’s an adventurer at heart — treasure maps, ancient curses, the whole vibe. He’ll scold anyone for wasting a dime and then immediately lead a reckless globe-trotting mission because nostalgia hit him, of course. Also he’s weirdly sentimental about a single old dime and will fight a villain with a cane, a top hat, and more pride than sense.

Dewey Duck

Dewey is the chaos child and I love him — impulsive, loud, and forever saying “watch me!” even when nobody asked. He’s the one who leaps into danger for fun, finds weird secret stuff, and then brags about it like a tiny, blue tornado of enthusiasm. He’ll make terrible plans that somehow work? (or explode) and he has this ridiculous confidence that is equal parts brave and reckless. There’s also this weird soft side where he notices small things and is secretly sentimental, which I did not expect but okay awesome.

Huey Duck

Huey is the organizer, the checklist master, the one with a mini rulebook of life — seriously, he probably owns the manual for breathing. He’s brainy and cautious, the “we should plan” voice, but don’t think he’s boring; he’s the reliable core who actually saves the day when Dewey and Louie are off making questionable choices. He’s a total Junior Woodchuck handbook nerd and will lecture you about maps like it’s a love language. Sometimes he surprises with a wild idea (yes, really) which makes me think he secretly loves chaos, just… in a scheduled way.

Louie Duck

Louie is the lazy schemer and I adore his hustler energy — always looking for the easiest, laziest shortcut to riches, which is both hilarious and oddly clever. He’s chill, practical, a little sly, and somehow morally soft under all the sly plans; he won’t let a friend down even if the scheme involves a suspiciously complex lemonade stand. He’ll nap mid-heist and still come up with the single perfect line that solves everything. Also, he loves comfort food and weirdly has opinions on sofas like it matters, which it totally does.

Webby Vanderquack

Webby is pure enthusiasm with a belt full of knowledge and probably seven kinds of rope and a scrapbook of secret passages. She’s earnest, intense, and suspiciously skilled in things like martial arts, history trivia, and… tea etiquette? (don’t ask, she knows). She adores the family and is both the tiny boss and the team’s heart — will bench press feelings and then immediately plan a tea party. Sometimes she’s adorably awkward and other times she’s terrifyingly prepared, which is my favorite contradiction.

Launchpad McQuack

Launchpad is the crash-and-burn lovable pilot who only knows two speeds: full throttle and totally lost. He’s a fearless, well-meaning goofball who will fly anything that moves and probably shouldn’t be trusted with a paper airplane, let alone an actual plane. Also he’s tragically loyal and somehow both stubbornly simple and deeply brave, and his laugh? Iconic. He insists he hates heights (no idea why) but will dive out of planes like it’s a hobby — classic Launchpad.

Flintheart Glomgold

Flintheart is the theatrical villain who treats being the richest like a competitive sport and honestly is peak villainous pettiness. He’s ruthless and obsessed with one-upping Scrooge (it’s personal), but tends to overplan in ways that blow up in his face, which is secretly delightful. He tosses around big speeches, has terrible taste for subtlety, and collects trophies like emotional security blankets. Also sometimes he’s ridiculously dramatic and then inexplicably sentimental about a childhood… thing? I don’t know, but it’s fun.

Donald Duck

Donald is a walking, quacking disaster magnet and I adore him for it — hot temper, endless bad luck, and somehow a heart of pure gold under all that flustered yelling. He’s the emotional, passionate every-duck: loves his family fiercely, bumbles through jobs, and explodes at small appliances like it’s an art form. He can be stubborn and heroic at the same time (infuriatingly charming combo), and there’s this vibe that he’s both completely unlucky and inexplicably resilient. Also he cooks sometimes? And it’s either amazing or terrifying, no middle ground.

Mrs. Beakley

Mrs. Beakley is the strict-yet-tender guardian who could absolutely take down a villain with one look and then bake you scones. She’s old-school, no-nonsense, and has a spy past? (yes, probably), so she’s both warm grandmother and secret agent which is stunning. She keeps everyone in line, reads the mood like a pro, and will side-eye nonsense so hard it corrects itself. Occasionally she’ll drop a softness that makes you realize she’s been the emotional backbone the whole time, and I cry about it every time.

Della Duck

Della is pure astronaut-mom-who-runs-on-wild-ideas and absolutely refuses to be boring. She’s bold, daring, and a little reckless in the best way; space helmets, rocket plans, and heartfelt notes thrown into the void are totally her vibe. She’s fiercely protective and also the kind of person who will teach you to fix a rocket with chewing gum and determination. Sometimes she’s absent in actual scenes but present in spirit, and that makes her feel both heroic and achingly human.
