Psyren Character Profiles
Ageha Yoshina

Ageha Yoshina is a self-confident high school student with a habit of offering to solve people’s problems for a fee. Beneath his brash, sometimes hot-headed manner is a strong sense of responsibility, especially toward friends in danger. After becoming involved in the deadly Psyren game, he faces threats that test both his judgment and resolve. His destructive Burst abilities suit his direct, emotionally driven style, while his willingness to put himself at risk reveals the good-hearted protector beneath the swagger.
Sakurako Amamiya

Known at school as the “Ice Queen,” Sakurako Amamiya is quiet, guarded, and difficult for classmates to read. Her experiences as a Psyren traveler have left her detached on the surface, though that reserve also helps her cope with frightening circumstances. She becomes an important companion to Ageha in the survival game, where her composure and controlled psychic illusions prove valuable. Sakurako’s calm manner conceals a more complicated inner life, shaped by strain and the challenge of keeping herself steady.
Kabuto Kirisaki

Kabuto Kirisaki is a wealthy, cynical playboy who would prefer to stay well away from the dangers of Psyren. Easily frightened and reluctant to work hard, he often looks for the safest advantage rather than charging into trouble. His predictive psychic ability gives him a distinctive way to assess threats, though using it does not make him instantly fearless. As the game presses him to depend on others, Kabuto’s self-preserving instincts are tested, creating room for courage to emerge alongside his wary pragmatism.
Oboro Mochizuki

Oboro Mochizuki is a flamboyant former idol whose vanity and playful air make him stand out among the Psyren travelers. Even in the midst of deadly danger, he can seem more excited than alarmed, giving his presence an unsettling edge. His lighthearted, sometimes airheaded behavior conceals a calculating side, and he has a remarkable affinity for psychic healing and manipulating life force. Oboro’s appetite for attention and thrills makes him unpredictable, but his abilities give the group an important kind of support.
Hiryuu Asaga

Known by the nickname “Dragon,” Hiryuu Asaga presents himself as a hardened street fighter, but his tough exterior hides a more sensitive side. His fierce loyalty is tied to concern for a missing friend, and that devotion helps explain his guarded, rough-and-tumble manner. Among the Psyren travelers, he is dependable under pressure and often provides a steady presence for the group. Hiryuu’s strength is not simply physical; it also comes from the care and persistence he brings to his friendships.
Matsuri Yagumo

Matsuri Yagumo is a former Psyren traveler who helps guide Ageha and the newer drifters. She often takes the role of a carefree older-sister figure, with a playful manner and a fondness for alcohol, but she is far from careless. An accomplished Psychicer, Matsuri brings tactical skill and hard-won experience to the group. She is also attentive to the psychological strain the game places on young travelers, and her concern for them gives her mentorship a thoughtful, protective quality.
