Super Psychic Policeman Chojo Character Profiles
Nao Ippongi
Nao Ippongi is a rookie police officer at the West Chinjuku Police Station and an elite judo practitioner whose strength has earned her the nickname “Gorilla.” Earnest and committed to keeping the streets safe, she often finds herself exasperated by her senior partner Meguru Choujou’s lazy, self-serving antics. Nao acts as the no-nonsense straight woman to his absurdity, but her hot temper and formidable physical power make her more than capable of taking charge.
Meguru Choujou
Meguru Choujou is a senior police officer at the West Chinjuku Police Station, blessed with extraordinary psychic abilities and little enthusiasm for conventional police work. Telekinesis, mind-reading, and clairvoyance make everyday tasks easy to avoid, and he often puts his powers toward naps or personal convenience instead. His lazy, self-centered manner frustrates his earnest rookie partner, Nao Ippongi. Though usually opportunistic and chaotic, Choujou can become serious when someone close to him is at risk.
Robo-kun
Robo-kun is the local police robot in the world of Super Psychic Policeman Chojo. Rigid and literal-minded, he tries to follow police protocols while navigating the disorderly atmosphere of the West Chinjuku Police Station. His eager-to-please disposition contrasts with the unpredictable behavior around him, often leaving him caught up in the station’s antics. Robo-kun’s dependable focus on procedure gives the chaotic cast a distinct, orderly counterpoint.
Heisuke Ban
Heisuke Ban is a supporting character in Super Psychic Policeman Chojo’s eccentric world. Nervous and easily flustered, he can be swept up by the extreme displays of psychic ability and physical strength surrounding him. His submissive manner makes him especially vulnerable to the cast’s larger-than-life personalities, and his reactions provide a more apprehensive counterpoint to their bravado. Ban’s presence underscores just how overwhelming the mayhem can look to someone caught in its path.
