Against the series’ broader backdrop, Oni and Momotaro wield blood-based powers and remain locked in a long-running struggle, with Shiki Ichinose caught in its wake.
Tougen Anki: Nikko Kegon Falls Arc Character Profiles
Naito Mudano
Naito Mudano is a taciturn instructor at Rasetsu Academy, where he trains young Oni amid their conflict with the Momotaro. Strict and ruthlessly rational, he expects students to take responsibility rather than rely on excuses. His controlled manner can make him seem distant, but he is also a capable protector who takes their safety seriously. Mudano’s authority comes less from showmanship than from competence, consistency, and an ability to act decisively under pressure.
Shiki Ichinose
Shiki Ichinose is a rebellious teenager whose discovery that he is an Oni draws him into the struggle between Oni and Momotaro. Hot-headed and driven by anger, he is also fiercely protective of others and unwilling to accept harm to innocent people. His strong sense of justice often puts him at odds with his own aggressive instincts. As Shiki learns more about the conflict around him, his determination becomes a force for both survival and change.
Kuina Sazanami
Kuina Sazanami is a bold, independent student whose rebellious manner sets her apart from more conventional classmates. She is largely indifferent to others’ judgments and prefers to make her own choices. That self-directed streak sits alongside a notably nurturing nature: Kuina is quick to look after people she considers vulnerable, whether their weakness is physical or emotional. Her combination of freedom-loving confidence and protective care gives her a distinctive place among the academy’s students.
Jin Kougasaki
Jin Kougasaki is one of the young characters caught up in the dangerous world of Tougen Anki. He has a guarded presence, suggesting someone who prefers to assess a situation before revealing his thoughts. Rather than relying on easy charm, Jin’s appeal lies in his independence and the possibility of a more loyal side beneath his reserve. His place among the story’s young Oni gives his choices weight as the conflict around them grows more difficult to navigate.
Kyouya Oiranzaka
Kyouya Oiranzaka is a character in Tougen Anki’s circle of young Oni, where danger and rivalry test the students’ resolve. His distinctive presence gives him a different flavor from more restrained figures around him, while his place in the group keeps him close to the series’ central tensions. Kyouya’s character is best approached through his interactions with those around him, as the pressures of the Oni–Momotaro conflict reveal what lies beneath his outward manner.
Homare Byoubugaura
Homare Byoubugaura is part of the cast surrounding the young Oni in Tougen Anki. The series places its characters in a world shaped by conflict, making individual temperament and relationships important counterpoints to the action. Homare’s presence adds another perspective to that group dynamic. Rather than reducing the character to a single trait, the surrounding tensions invite attention to how Homare responds to others and finds a place within an increasingly demanding situation.
