Meet the characters from Cyberpunk: Edgerunners

Doc

Doc is the grizzled ripperdoc you go to when you’ve done something very, very illegal and your limbs hate you for it. He’s the kind of guy who gives blunt advice, charges in cash, and somehow remembers everyone’s weird medical history (even that thing you forgot to tell him). Caring in a weird, businesslike way — like a mechanic who scolds but patches you up — and possibly addicted to stale coffee or nostalgia, I can’t decide. He looks like he doesn’t care but he does, and he’ll probably call you by the wrong name and then help you anyway.

Adam Smasher

Adam Smasher is the walking tank of nightmares in flesh—well, mostly metal—absolutely unapologetic and stomp-you-flat brutal. He’s terrifyingly efficient, speaks in growls or no words at all, and loves obliterating anything that moves (and possibly collects old human trinkets? don’t quote me). There’s zero subtlety, zero remorse, and a lot of very loud cannon energy, which is oddly consistent and also kind of boring? If danger had a face, it would be a polished chrome mask with a bad attitude.

Kiwi

Kiwi is the calm, cigarette-smoke-scented netrunner who looks like she’d fall asleep mid-hack but somehow fries corporate brains like it’s a hobby. She’s dry, sarcastic, and brilliant — the kind of person who says one weird line and you laugh two hours later. Sort of mysterious (she hates attachments? but also hoards tiny mementos), and she radiates “don’t touch my keyboard” energy. Also maybe allergic to small talk and definitely allergic to bad music, in my head at least.

Maine

Maine is the hulking father-figure with a laugh like a diesel engine and a temper you do not test unless you enjoy broken teeth. Leader of the crew, he’s rough around every conceivable edge but weirdly loyal — he’ll bash heads and then tuck you into bed (not literally, maybe, but you get the idea). He’s addicted to power and upgrade modules (and probably to protein shakes or something oddly wholesome), but also carries this heavy, almost tender protectiveness. Basically a wrecking ball wrapped in a hoodie who occasionally quotes bad poetry, and yes that’s canon in my heart.

Falco

Falco is the scrappy, fast-talking kid with a grin and a steering wheel obsession — he’s your getaway driver, mechanic, and terrible friend sometimes (in the best way). He’s goofy and warm but can snap into professional mode like a laser when shit hits the fan. Sneaks snacks into tense meetings, cries at memes, and also knows way too much about engines and loyalty. You’d never expect him to be the sensible one, but then he is, occasionally, which is the best kind of surprise.

Faraday

Faraday is the icy, corporate strategist with a smile that means you’ve already been outplayed. Calculated, emotional-discipline-on-maximum, he treats people like chess pieces and absolutely despises messy feelings (but ironically collects rules like they’re comfort blankets). He’s urbane, precise, and the kind of villain who uses nice cutlery while planning your downfall. Occasionally you get a flicker of humanity, then it’s gone — very frustratingly effective. Also, he probably drinks tea, in a very controlled, corporate way.

David

David is chaotic, hungry, and heartbreaking all at once — the kid who wants to rise so badly his bones creak when he sleeps. He’s impulsive, brave in the stupidest ways, and has this weird mix of cruelty and compassion that just wrecks you. Ambitious to a fault, he chases power like a drug and then wonders why it burns him, and his loyalty is both his best and worst trait. He draws hearts in the margins (or maybe that’s a lie I’m telling you), hums off-key, and believes in people he shouldn’t — which is tragic but kind of beautiful.

Lucy

Lucy is the quiet ghost-hacker with a soft voice that somehow hides a storm of skill and sorrow. She’s mysterious and warm in a very reserved way, like someone who gives you a blanket and then disappears into the rain. Totally brilliant at the net, fiercely private, and secretly sentimental (collects little constellation drawings? yes, probably yes). She’s both your soulmate and a moving target — fragile-seeming but sharp as broken glass, and you love her even when she refuses to be loved.
